is overwhelming. At the same time, people’s requirements

of dealing with these Blu-ray files to do other use are also

arising, like ripping to Apple TV for hooking up to home

theater, so as to enjoy them in high quality and wide

screen comfortably and leisurely with no matter best

friends or family members. However, lots of people still

Step 2: Select Apple TV format and set destination folder
Since Blu-ray files are loaded, what you should do next is

selecting an Apple TV format as output format via clicking

on the drop-down list of “Format”.
As soon as you click on the drop-down list of “Format”,

the following interface will appear, select “Apple TV”

firstly, and then choose a format which can fit your needs,

here I select “Apple TV H.264 1280×720(*.mp4) for

instance.
Meanwhile, if you want to combine all the Blu-ray files

into one file, so that there are no intervals while

playback, you can tick checkbox “Merge into one file” to

achieve this goal. In addition, this program will

automatically indicate a save path to store the output .mp4

files, suppose you do not like use the default path, you

are allowed to specify a destination folder by yourself via

hitting the folder icon at the end of “Output”.
Step 3: Set advanced settings
If you want to adjust video and audio parameters like

aspect ratio, codec, bit rate, frame rate, etc., you can do

it on the window below through pressing “Settings”

button. Generally speaking, to get better quality, you

should change the input figures into larger values, but one

thing you must pay attention that it will produce larger

file size at the same time.
Step 4: Rip Blu-ray files
Once all the above mentioned three steps are completed, now

just press “Convert” button to start Blu-ray ripping. The

ripping work will be finished at speed without any audio

and video out of sync issues. After done, you can click on

“Open” button to get the output .mp4 files for your Apple

TV effortlessly.

Part two: How to import YouTube video to FCP for editing?

1. Download, install and launch Pavtube Video Converter

2. Import YouTube videos, select FCP format and set save

path
Click “Add” button to input FLV files downloaded from

here I select QuickTime MOV for example.
Also, you are allowed to click “Browse” to decide where to

export the output MOV files, if not, the converter will

save them to a destination folder set by default. By the

way, if you want to join several YouTube videos to be a

single file, you can tick the checkbox “Merge into one

file” to achieve it. After conversion is completed, you

are able to find the converted files via pressing button “

Open”.
3. Set advanced settings
Suppose you are good at adjusting audio and video

parameters, then you can press “Settings” to do this. You

can reset all the items on the following window, like codec,

bit rate, frame rate and so on.
4. Convert
After all the necessary settings are ready, you can click

button “Convert” to start the conversion. Pavtube Video

Converter for Mac can give you an estimated size of the

final generated file, so that you can know if you have

enough space to save the output files. Moreover, you will

see it also shows you clearly how much time it has spent or

how much time it will possibly cost to convert the rest

part. The converting window is as below.
Some people may ask if there is a program that can process

not spend too much time and energy on it. In fact, there

is, and in Part three it will be introduced in detail.
Part three: How to download and convert YouTube video files

for FCP simultaneously?
Step 1: Download, install and run Pavtube YouTube

simultaneously. As soon as you launch it, the interface

below will show up.
Step 2: Import YouTube URL, select FCP format and set

store path
Hit button “Add URL” in the above window, and then the

following interface will appear. Just copy and paste the

URL of the YouTube video file which you want to download and

convert to the text box of “URL”. Then select a workable

format for FCP by clicking the drop-down list of “Convert

To”. Here I choose MOV for instance.
Afterwards, you can insert the storage file name in the

text box of “Save As”, otherwise, the program will

generate a file name automatically. Meanwhile, you are

allowed to hit “Browse” in the opposite side of “Save

To” to specify where to locate the output MOV files. By

the way, if you want to save the original FLV files, you

are allowed to tick the checkbox “Save FLV File” to

achieve this goal.
Step 3: Custom
This program enables you to adjust video and audio

parameters like codec, bit rate, aspect ratio, frame rate,

sample rate, etc, so that you can change them randomly

according to your own requirements. Generally speaking, the

larger values, the better quality, but the larger file size.

Do remember click “OK” to save your custom settings.
Step 4: Download and convert
Once all the settings are done, you can click “OK” button

to start. The following window will show you the progress

of downloading and conversion, so as to manage your time

properly. If batch downloading and conversion are under

way, you can even go out for a walk or take a nap. After

downloading and conversion are completed, you can click

button “Open” to find the output MOV and FLV files.
Well, as soon as YouTube video conversion is finished, you

can import the output MOV files to FCP to do further editing

easily. My post seems longsome, but I sincerely hope it is

How to split Blu-ray by chapters?
For its excellent high definition video quality, Blu-ray is

becoming more and more popular. You must have purchased

plenty of Blu-ray movies, District 9, The Reader, The

Pursuit of Happiness, Revolutionary Road, Brave Heart, The

Lord of the Rings, Roman Holiday, The Wizard Of Oz, …the

latest ones or the classic ones may all in your collection.

While the Blu-ray rippers in the market are not as many as

common DVD rippers, so I’m sure some of you have met

setbacks while trying to split Blu-ray movies to do other

use. Do not feel frustrating from now on, since this thread

will present you how to split Blu-ray by chapters step by

step, just get what you need from it.
Step 1: Download, install and launch Pavtube Blu-Ray Ripper
Its main interface is as follow, there are three ways to

add Blu-ray movie, namely via “DVD Rom”, “”, and

“IFO/ISO”:
Step 2: Select output format and set destination folder
After importing Blu-ray movie, now you can click the

drop-down list of “Format” to select the output format

according to your end use. For example, import to iPod,

iPhone, PSP, BlackBerry for playback you can select MP4;

insert to PowerPoint for presentation you can select WMV and

MPG; input to Windows Movie Maker for editing you can

select WMV; upload onto YouTube you can select FLV, AVI,

3GP, etc. Meanwhile, you are allowed to set the save path of

the converted files, just click the folder icon in the

opposite side of “Output” to specify it. Moreover, if you

want the different chapters to be joined into one file, you

can tick “Merge into one file” to achieve it.
Step 3: Check split chapters of Blu-ray
This program check and hide all the chapters by default,

in order to make it easy to select chapters which you want

to split, you can put your cursor on the title of any file,

and right-click on it, then the following interface will

show up, afterwards, check “Uncheck All” and “Show

Chapters”, and then tick the check box before the chapters

which you need rip.
Furthermore, if you want to split your Blu-ray movie to a

more accurate duration, you can press button “Edit”, and

then click tag “Trim” to do selection. There are two ways

to realize it: insert your specified start time and end

time into the text box after “Start” and “End”

respectively, and then press “Set” button to apply; drag

the slider bars in the timeline to set start time and end

time.
Step 4: Convert
As soon as all the above settings are completed, finally,

you can click “Convert” to start Blu-ray splitting. Do

remember hit button “Start” in the following pop-up

window, after that, ripping work will go ahead, at the same

time, the “Start” button will change to “Pause”. It is

easy to find that this interface provide you with ripping

info as much as possible, including splitting process, time

elapse, time left, generated size, estimated size, so that

you can manage your time and disk space properly.
After the ripping is done, you can click “Open” button to

get the resulted files with ease, also, it’s your business

to do whatever you like with the split Blu-ray files, wish
